Ben has taught Geography in the U.K., China, and Egypt, serving as a Classroom Teacher, Head of Department, and Senior Leader. A researcher of mixed successes, Ben dropped out of his first attempt at post-graduate studies after spending four years trying to finalise his thoughts and findings on ideological bias in development narratives. He’s doing better now, looking at how social identity theory relates to effective implementation.

Sipping on good coffee, he reads what brighter minds say about teaching, knowledge, and the curriculum. He lives in Paris with his wife, Jen, teaching in an international school and training for ultra-marathons with his dog, Hamish.
